Some FAQ’s:

I’ve ordered my fish, when will it arrive?

Our courier operates overnight. Orders are packed on Thursday, for delivery Friday.

Some rural postcodes are subject to a two-day delivery service.

Please contact us for clarification.

We are partnered with NZ Post for your deliveries and your delivery should take place between 0800 - 1800hrs.

 The important stuff

We send everything as next-day delivery. However, we cannot guarantee this delivery date as this is reliant on the couriers.

99.8% of our deliveries make it on time, however there are very rare occasions where your order might arrive the following day.

All our seafood is packed to stay fresh and cold in transit for up to 48 hours. This means that on the rare occasions a delivery is delayed the contents would still be protected.

We cannot provide refunds or replacements for delayed deliveries unless the quality of the product has been compromised. The maximum amount of time an order would be delayed is 24 hours.

What happens if I'm not home?

If you are not going to be at home to receive your delivery, our drivers have Authority to Leave instructions.

NZ Post will also send you email messages confirming your tracking details and expected delivery times.

Do you offer Saturday Delivery?

No, we find the freight has a habit of going missing.

How is the seafood packaged for delivery?

Your seafood is bagged and ready to cook on delivery. All your fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled as to the species. Because our fish is so fresh, you have 5-7 days chilled shelf life on it.

Once your fish has been packaged to keep it in prime condition, we place it into a thermally lined polystyrene box. The fish is surrounded with frozen gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition. If we have had to substitute any items with an alternative, we will include a note informing you of which items this has affected.

I hate polystyrene. Why do you use it?

Well, so far we have not found a suitable alternative. As soon as we do, you’ll be the first to know. If you know of an alternative (one that’s not made of starch), give me a call.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver around the nation, from Northland to Bluff.

Can I have my order delivered to another address?

To have your seafood delivered to a different address from your usual address, please provide an alternative delivery address when placing your order. We will take care of the rest. We can even provide a personalised gift message for the recipient, at no extra charge.

How do I pay?

We know it seems strange that in the world of online shopping your order will be dispatched before you have paid for it. Luckily, we trust you. Erica will email an invoice to you once we have the weights of your fish and payment options including online banking, Visa or Mastercard are on the invoice.

If something's not quite gone to plan.

If something isn't quite right, or you’re not happy in any way then we will make it our priority to rectify the situation.
